Terms & Conditions

These terms cover the use of this website and the standard basis on which One Stop Roofing Co (North Yorkshire & East Riding) provides surveys, quotes and roofing work. They do not replace the specific written quote and any accompanying job-specific terms we issue for individual jobs, those always take priority for the work described in that quote.

The content on this website is provided for general information about our services. We take care to keep it accurate, but website content is not a formal quotation. A binding price and scope of work is only provided in a written quote issued by us after a survey.

All logos, text, images and page designs on this site are the property of One Stop Roofing Co unless stated otherwise, and may not be reproduced without our permission.

Surveys are free of charge and carry no obligation. We provide fixed-price written quotes by email, typically within 6 hours of the survey. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, subject to the scope described in the quote remaining unchanged.

If additional work is discovered once the job is underway that could not reasonably have been seen at survey (for example, hidden timber rot uncovered when stripping a roof), we will stop, explain what we've found, and agree any additional cost with you in writing before proceeding.

Unless stated otherwise on your written quote, payment is due on completion of the work. For larger jobs, we may agree a staged payment schedule in writing before the work starts. We accept bank transfer and other standard payment methods described on your invoice.

All work carried out by One Stop Roofing Co is covered by a written 10-year workmanship guarantee. Materials also carry their own manufacturer guarantee, the terms of which vary by product and are confirmed on your written quote.

The workmanship guarantee covers defects arising from our installation. It does not cover damage caused by third parties, subsequent alterations by others, extreme weather beyond design tolerance, lack of reasonable maintenance, or issues arising from parts of the building not covered by the original scope of work.

One Stop Roofing Co holds public liability and employers' liability insurance in place for every job. Written confirmation of cover can be provided on request before work starts.

You may cancel a booked job at any time before work starts by contacting us in writing. Where materials have already been ordered specifically for your job and cannot be returned to the supplier, the cost of those materials may be chargeable, we'll always tell you before ordering non-returnable materials.

Where you are a consumer instructing us as a result of a visit to your home, you have a 14-day statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you want work to start within that period, please confirm in writing that you'd like us to proceed.

If anything about our service or workmanship falls short of what you expected, please contact us as soon as possible on 07348 278595 or at onestoproofingco@icloud.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and resolve them fairly and promptly.

These terms and any work we carry out are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
